File Delivery
These are my standard file guidelines, if you have any issues please don’t hesitate to get in touch & we can work around them!
Mastering File Requirements:
All music should be in .wav format and a minimum of 24 bit + 44.1/48kHz sample rate (whichever it was recorded at).
All music should leave sufficient headroom, not peaking any higher than -3dB.
All loudness & mastering plugins should be removed from the master bus before bouncing & normalisation should not be applied to the track.
Please include any reference tracks you might have.
Mixing File Requirements:
The track(s) should be sent as clearly labelled .wav stems in a .zip file. I recommend sending these via WeTransfer.
The .wav files should be a minimum of 24 bit & 44.1/48kHz (whichever they were recorded at).
Unless otherwise discussed, stems should be provided for every recorded element of the track & not grouped (i.e. an individual stem for every element of a drum kit - kick, snare, hi hat etc. instead of one grouped ‘drums’ stem).
All stems should have the same start and end point, allowing time for all tails to fade out at the end of the track.
Stems should have no effects applied unless otherwise discussed. If you have already applied effects/processing you want kept on the stems, I can of course work with this, but let me know the details of what has been applied in advance!
While I prefer raw audio, if you would like to send your tracks as project files, let me know - I currently work with Logic, Ableton & Pro Tools so this is a possible option we can discuss.
Please include links to any reference tracks you’d like the mix to sound similar to.
Any other questions?
Get in touch! The above is my standard guidelines but I’m happy to be flexible on all of the above if need be.
Let me know your requirements and I can always work something out!
